317L(00Cr19Ni13Mo3, UNS S31726) alloy is an austenitic stainless steel based on molybdenum.Compared with
conventional chromium-Nickel austenitic stainless steel such as 304 alloy, it is more resistant to chemical corrosion.
In addition, 317L alloys have higher ductility, stress corrosion resistance, compression strength and high temperature
resistance than conventional stainless steels.It is low carbon or L grade, which has resistance to sensitization during
welding and heat treatment.
